Introduced
Summary
Keeps Coast Guard enlisted members who are close to retirement on active duty. This bill would require the Coast Guard to retain regular enlisted members who are within 2 years of qualifying for retirement under 14 U.S.C. 2306 when facing involuntary separation or denial of reenlistment, and it would restrict involuntary separation or transfer of active-status Reserve enlisted members with 18–20 years of service unless they consent.
