Ban military discrimination by gender identity
If enacted, this bill would stop the military from acting against someone because of their gender identity. That includes a diagnosis or possible diagnosis of gender dysphoria. The Secretary concerned could not set qualifications, involuntarily separate a member, or deny medically necessary health care. They could not force someone to serve in the sex assigned at birth. They could not deny accession, reenlistment, or continuation of service. The prohibition would apply to actions by the Secretary concerned and would take effect upon enactment.
