Pregnancy allows TRICARE Select enrollment

This bill would require the Defense Secretary to start a five-year pilot within 180 days that treats pregnancy as a qualifying event for TRICARE Select enrollment for eligible beneficiaries. If enacted, eligible service members and dependents would be able to change their TRICARE Select enrollment because of pregnancy. The Secretary would brief Congress within one year of enactment. The Secretary would also send a report one year after the pilot starts and yearly for four more years. Each report would list monthly counts of enrollment changes starting January 2026 and say whether changes were due to pregnancy or changes in active-duty status.
