New deportation and entry bans for DUI

If enacted, the bill would make many DUI offenses a reason to be deported or denied entry. It would add deportability for any noncitizen convicted of driving while intoxicated or impaired. It would also add inadmissibility for noncitizens convicted of, or who admit to, DUI or acts that meet the offense's elements. The rule would apply whether the conviction is called a misdemeanor or a felony. 'Driving while intoxicated or impaired' would be defined by the law where the conviction or acts happened. These changes would take effect upon enactment.
