DoD travel funds pay renaming costs
If enacted, the bill would require the Secretary of Defense to pay the costs of renaming the Department of Defense to the Department of War by using the Secretary's travel funds. If those travel funds are not enough, the Secretary could reallocate travel funds from the military departments. Covered costs would include changing physical signs, government websites, stationery, printed materials, and digital media. The bill would not provide new appropriations and would require the Secretary to report to Congress within one year on amounts obligated or spent.
