Visa bans and deportation for Sharia advocates
If enacted, this bill would make advocating to impose Sharia law in a way that violates others' constitutional or legal rights a new ground to deny visas or admission. The Secretary of State, DHS, and the Attorney General would have to deny or revoke visas, immigration benefits, or admission for such advocacy. It would add new inadmissibility and deportability grounds to the Immigration and Nationality Act, including deportability for advocacy that happens after admission. Lying to federal officials about your advocacy could also lead to benefit or visa revocation and removal. Any determination under the bill would be final and not subject to court review.
