Repeal Syria sanctions for businesses

If enacted, this bill would repeal two U.S. laws that authorize sanctions on Syria. It would repeal the Syria Accountability and Lebanese Sovereignty Restoration Act of 2003. It would also repeal the Syria Human Rights Accountability Act of 2012. U.S. businesses, investors, and people previously limited by those laws would face fewer statutory restrictions. The change does not create new sanctions, set funding, or include transition rules.
