119-s-3405119th Congress

PRC Financial Intermediary Review Act

Sponsored By: Senator McCormick, David [R-PA]

Introduced

Summary

Transparency of PRC-controlled financial intermediaries is the bill's main goal. This bill would require the Securities and Exchange Commission to study, within one year, the transparency and cooperation of two groups: brokers and dealers that are members of a national securities association and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission and that are controlled by or organized under the laws of the People's Republic of China, and investment advisers registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission that are controlled by or organized under those laws. The SEC would submit a report to Congress with the study's findings.
