Study of Upper Raritan Rivers

This bill would direct the Secretary of the Interior to study parts of the Upper Raritan River watershed in New Jersey. The study would cover the North Branch Raritan, South Branch Raritan, the Lamington-Black River, and their tributaries, including tributaries upstream of Spruce Run Reservoir. If funds are provided, the Secretary would finish the study and send a report to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee and the House Natural Resources Committee within 3 years. This would only start a study and would not itself add these rivers to the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System.
