ACCESS Act of 2026
Sponsored By: Senator McCormick, David [R-PA]
Introduced
Summary
Raises the crowdfunding review threshold. The ACCESS Act of 2026 amends the Securities Act of 1933 to change when issuers using the crowdfunding exemption must file financial statements reviewed by an independent public accountant. The threshold that triggers a reviewed statement is increased from $100,000 to $250,000. The Securities and Exchange Commission may raise that amount up to $400,000 if recommended by the Office of the Advocate for Small Business Capital Formation and the Office of the Investor Advocate. The Act also fixes cross-reference wording in Section 4A.
