King Farm uses and access rules

If enacted and if the Secretary acquires the King Farm, the bill would allow the acquired land to be used for farming and forestry, including growing and harvesting crops and trees and animal husbandry customary in Vermont. If enacted, the bill would expand Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller park boundaries to the area shown on the map titled "Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park, Proposed Boundary Revision", numbered 456/190,048, dated August 2023. It would add a historic zone, a protection zone, and include the King Farm, which the Secretary would divide between zones. The bill would replace the old 1991 scenic-zone map. The Secretary would also be able to acquire land inside the new boundary by donation, by purchase from a willing seller using donated or appropriated funds, by transfer from a Federal agency, or by exchange.
