Redirect leftover COVID aid to border
This bill would create a Southern Border Wall Construction Fund in the Treasury. It would require immediate deposit of all unobligated Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (CSLFRF) balances into that Fund. The Department of Homeland Security would be able to use the money to build and maintain physical barriers on the southern international border. States and cities would lose control of any unobligated CSLFRF balances they still had. The section does not add a sunset date or extra reporting rules.
