One-week delay for surveillance powers

This bill would move the repeal date for the Title VII surveillance authorities from June 12, 2026 to June 19, 2026. It would do this by replacing two references to June 12, 2026 with June 19, 2026 in federal law. The change would take effect on the earlier of the date the bill becomes law or June 11, 2026. If enacted, federal agencies would be able to use Title VII authorities for one more week, and people and communications providers could have communications covered during that week.
