Longer authorization for civil rights network
If enacted, this bill would extend the African American Civil Rights Network's statutory authorization from 7 years to 10 years after the date of enactment of the Renewing the African American Civil Rights Network Act. The bill would amend 54 U.S.C. 308404 by replacing the phrase about a 7-year term with a 10-year term measured from this Act's enactment. This change would not itself provide new funding, change who can get services, or add new enforcement rules. The extension would take effect upon enactment and the authorization would expire 10 years after enactment.
