Sponsored By: Senator Schumer, Charles E. [D-NY]

Introduced

Summary

Targets the Attorney General's Anti‑Weaponization Fund tied to the Trump v. IRS case. This bill would abolish the Anti‑Weaponization Fund established by the Attorney General in connection with the disposition in Trump v. Internal Revenue Service (S.D. Fla.) and would nullify the Attorney General's May 19, 2026 order concerning the release of certain claims so the order would have no force or effect.

Ends Anti-Weaponization Fund and Order

If enacted, this bill would abolish the Anti-Weaponization Fund the Attorney General set up in connection with the disposition in Trump v. Internal Revenue Service (No. 1:26-cv-20609-KMW). It would also nullify the Attorney General's May 19, 2026 order about releasing certain claims so that the order would have no force or effect. Recipients or potential recipients of payments from that fund would lose that funding. Parties who would have had claims released by the May 19 order would not have those releases take effect. This change would not create any new payments or benefits.
