Cut federal funding for public broadcasters
If enacted, the bill would bar the Corporation for Public Broadcasting from receiving or accepting Federal funds on or after enactment. It would cancel any unspent CPB balances from the Consolidated Appropriations Acts of 2022, 2023, and 2024. It would also clarify that a related clause counts only amounts received before enactment. Public TV and radio stations that rely on CPB grants could lose federal money and some programs may face cuts.
