Block federal funds for public charge

If enacted, this bill would prohibit using any Federal funds, including fees, to carry out DHS's "Public Charge" rule (91 Fed. Reg. 45324; July 20, 2026). It would also bar using federal money to adopt or rely on guidance or sub-regulatory policies that implement or clarify that rule. If passed, immigrants and people applying for visas or green cards would face lower risk of being denied or penalized under that DHS rule.
