Clear title for Eaton parcel
This bill would require the Secretary of the Interior to record a disclaimer that the United States has no interest in the Eaton parcel. The parcel is in Bonners Ferry, Idaho and is about 15.12 acres on an 1893 map. Land inside the Kootenai Indian Reservation is excluded. The Secretary would have to record the disclaimer not later than 90 days after enactment. The land was platted under section 2387 of the Revised Statutes (43 U.S.C. 718). If enacted, this would help prospective buyers, claimants, and local officials get clear title so the land can be conveyed.
