This bill would add a subsection to Section 1760 that caps how long authorities can pursue export-control violations. 10-year limit on export enforcement

This bill would set a 10-year time limit for civil and criminal enforcement of export-control violations. For civil cases, the government would have to start any action, suit, or proceeding within 10 years of the violation. Sending a charging letter would count as starting a civil case. For criminal cases, an indictment or information would have to be filed within 10 years after the latest date of the violation. If enacted, these limits would take effect upon enactment and would mainly affect exporters and related businesses by capping the time the government may bring cases.
