Label Ansarallah a terrorist group

This bill would require the President to designate Ansarallah as a foreign terrorist organization. The bill defines Ansarallah as the Houthi movement or any alias and ties the designation to section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1189). The President would have 30 days after enactment to make that designation. Within 30 days after the designation, the President would have to report to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee on whether three named individuals are officials, agents, or affiliates: Abdul Malik al-Houthi; Abd al-Khaliq Badr al-Din al-Houthi; and Abdullah Yahya al-Hakim. If enacted, those steps would enable U.S. agencies to use terrorism-related sanctions, immigration consequences, and other legal tools against the group and those individuals.
