Block sale of F-35s to Saudi
If enacted, this joint resolution would prohibit the proposed sale in Transmittal No. 26-69 to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It would stop 48 F-35 Lightning II fighter jets and 49 Pratt & Whitney F135-PW-100 engines (48 installed, 1 spare) from being transferred. It would also block the listed spare parts, cryptographic and secure communications gear, training, software, logistics, and U.S. government and contractor support in the transmission. This would take effect upon enactment. U.S. defense contractors and suppliers would lose the related contracts and work tied to this sale.
