Summary

Honors the service and memory of four U.S. Army soldiers who died during a recovery mission in Lithuania. They were part of a 3,500-member rotational deployment for NATO Operation Atlantic Resolve and died when their heavy recovery vehicle sank in a bog on March 31 and April 1, 2025 while attempting to repair and tow an immobilized vehicle, prompting a weeklong recovery by hundreds of U.S., Lithuanian, Polish, and Estonian personnel and a farewell ceremony attended by thousands of Lithuanians, including President Gitanas Nauseda.
