National Trafficking and Modern Slavery Prevention Month designates January 1 through February 1, 2025 to raise awareness of and oppose human trafficking and modern slavery and to recognize the vital role of the American people in ending these crimes. The resolution collects findings that forced labor and trafficking generate at least $150 billion worldwide and that about 50 million people are estimated victims, highlights heightened risks for homeless, LGBTQ, and Native youth, and urges survivor-centered, whole-of-government prevention and support culminating on National Freedom Day, February 1, 2025.
