A resolution honoring the life and legacy of the late Constance Benjamin Clery.

This resolution would honor Constance "Connie" B. Clery and reaffirm the Senate's commitment to the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act for her leadership on campus safety. It recalls that after the 1986 murder of her daughter Jeanne, Connie and her husband founded Security On Campus (now the Clery Center), led passage of the 1990 Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act requiring campus crime disclosures, and championed later federal changes on victim rights, daily crime logs, emergency notifications, missing student procedures, sexual-violence disclosures, prevention programs, and hazing reporting.
