Guaranteed curbside mail for small developments
If enacted, the bill would require the United States Postal Service to provide curbside mail delivery to residents of qualifying housing developments. A qualifying development would be a cluster of 50 or fewer single-family homes located within 300 yards of any other home that receives curbside delivery, and the Postal Service would determine which clusters qualify. The bill would bar the Postal Service from obligating or spending funds, including money in the Postal Service Fund under 39 U.S.C. §2003, to stop or limit curbside delivery at those developments. The bill would not create phase-in periods, a sunset date, or enforcement penalties for this requirement.
