If enacted, certain groups would get the National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass for free. You would qualify if you are a member of the Armed Forces, and your dependents would also qualify. You would also qualify if you are a law enforcement officer or a firefighter and you show proof set by the Secretary. Law enforcement officer would mean a government officer or employee who enforces criminal law or supervises sentenced offenders. Firefighter would mean a government employee who fights fires, including wildland fires. The pass would waive entrance fees for national parks and other federal recreation lands.
