More medical research for service members

This bill would add more money for military medical research. It would raise Defense Health Agency RDT&E funding from about $40.4 billion to about $41.6 billion (about $1.18 billion more). The change would take effect as if it were in the 2025 full-year funding law. Money for the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs would be used the same way as in the 2024 appropriations plan. The Secretary of Defense would have to support all listed research projects and follow the funding priorities on pages 311–314 to keep programs running.
