Summary
Raises congressional notification thresholds for defense exports. This bill would amend the Arms Export Control Act to raise the dollar threshold that triggers mandatory congressional notification for export license applications on defense articles from $1 million to $4 million. It would insert an explicit $4 million notification threshold for firearms listed in Category I of the U.S. Munitions List and replace references to the lower dollar amount so the higher threshold applies across the affected provisions.
