Summary
Provides $50 million a year for CDC gun violence prevention research. The Gun Violence Prevention Research Act of 2025 would authorize $50 million each year from 2026 through 2031 for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to conduct or support research on firearms safety and gun violence prevention under the Public Health Service Act. *If fully funded, it would authorize $300 million in federal appropriations across fiscal years 2026–2031.*
