Ensuring Military Readiness Not Discrimination Act

Summary
Prohibits discrimination in the Armed Forces based on race, color, national origin, religion, and sex — including gender identity, sexual orientation, and sex characteristics (including intersex traits). This bill would require that eligibility for service and personnel policies focus only on an individual’s ability to meet generally applicable occupational standards for military service and the specific military occupational specialty.
