Congressional Budget Office Scheduling Reform Act

Annual CBO schedule transparency would require the Director of the Congressional Budget Office to publish by December 31 each year an expected schedule of publication dates for major recurring CBO reports on the agency website. The schedule must include at least the budget-year baseline and its updates, the report on options to reduce the deficit, the report assessing the accuracy of the most recently completed fiscal year's budget projections, and the report on programs or activities with unauthorized appropriations under section 202(e)(3). The Director could update the schedule during the following calendar year. The bill also adds a table-of-contents entry to the Congressional Budget Act and designates the short title as the "Congressional Budget Office Scheduling Reform Act."
