More rural home loan eligibility for farmers
If enacted, this bill would let more towns qualify for rural housing financing under the Farm Credit Act. It would raise the community population limit in that rule from 2,500 to 10,000. It would also say that appurtenances include accessory dwelling units (ADUs), so homes with ADUs could count. The change would take effect upon enactment and mainly affects rural homeowners, farmers, and small landlords seeking Farm Credit loans.
