United States-Israel defense technology initiative
This bill would create a United States‑Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative led by the Secretary of Defense with Israel's defense minister. The Initiative would speed joint research, testing, and transition to procurement in areas like missile and air defense (including "Golden Dome for America"), counter‑unmanned systems, AI and quantum, cyber, biotech, directed energy, sensing, and industrial co‑production. The Secretary of Defense would coordinate with the Secretaries of State and Commerce and with multiple DoD offices and must protect export controls and sensitive information. The bill would authorize $150,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2027, 2028, and 2029 to carry out the Initiative. The Secretary would give Congress an interim briefing within 180 days of enactment and an annual unclassified report (classified annex allowed), and would post periodic unclassified updates on a public DoD website.
