More transit workforce training money
If enacted, transit agencies would be able to use more federal bus program money for workforce training. The bill would raise the workforce-training set-aside in Section 5339 from 5% to 10%. It would let funds pay for training for buses, related equipment, and construction of bus-related facilities, and make amounts under subsections (a), (b), or (c) eligible. At the same time, recipients could not use more than 10% of their Section 5339 funds for workforce development.
