Summary
Would authorize a TSA pilot to expedite security screening for traveling active-duty military and their accompanying family members. The Administration would set dedicated lanes at airports chosen for proximity to military installations, ensure each passenger is screened according to their Secure Flight vetting, prevent screeners from placing travelers into TSA PreCheck or other expedited lanes without a PreCheck-eligible boarding pass, and run the pilot for three years with local flexibility to adjust checkpoint lanes.

Faster airport screening for active-duty military families
If enacted, TSA would be allowed to start a pilot within 60 days. It would speed airport screening for active-duty service members and their accompanying family. Airports near military bases and with room for dedicated lanes would get priority. Screeners would only allow travelers into expedited lanes if the boarding pass shows eligibility. Travelers would still be checked based on Secure Flight vetting. Local managers would be able to open or close lanes based on crowds to keep security moving. If started, the pilot would run for three years. TSA would brief Congress within nine months of starting.
