Summary
Unclassified assessment of national-security effects of China’s high-altitude surveillance balloon. The Department of Defense, in consultation with the President, would produce an unclassified report about the balloon shot down in February 2023 and may include a classified annex. The report must be transmitted to the Senate and House Armed Services Committees within 90 days after enactment.
