Summary
Would permit North America–based carrier staff to edit drivers' electronic logging device (ELD) records when the driver approves. This bill would add a new subsection to 49 U.S.C. 31137(b) authorizing that an employee or an authorized agent of the motor carrier may make edits or annotations to ELD records provided the person is physically located in North America and the edit or annotation remains subject to driver approval.
