Link family NEXUS applications
This bill would require the Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to link family members' NEXUS applications and finish that linkage within 180 days after enactment. It would define family members as parents, legal guardians, children, grandparents, grandchildren, and siblings living in the same household. One family member would be allowed to schedule interviews for all linked family members, and CBP could offer linked families joint interviews. CBP could exempt a linked child under 14 from having a separate interview. NEXUS would mean the joint U.S.-Canada trusted-traveler program under 8 U.S.C. 1753.
