Sponsored By: Representative Biggs, Sheri [R-SC-3]
Introduced

New limits on medication abortion by mail
This bill would require an in-person visit before a REMS-certified provider could prescribe, dispense, or administer mifepristone or any abortion drug. It would also require the provider to hold a medical license in the State where the patient lives. If a provider knowingly broke either rule, the provider would lose REMS-certified status for that drug for not less than 2 years. This would reduce options for medication abortion by mail or from out-of-state doctors.
