More loan relief for farm workers

If enacted, borrowers with Federal Direct Loans would be able to count full-time farm work toward Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF). The job must be full-time work as an employee or manager on a "qualified farm or ranch." A farm qualifies for a year if its gross revenue from selling agricultural products that year meets or exceeds the threshold. The threshold is $35,000 for 2026 and then rises each year by the estimated percent change in the Consumer Price Index as determined by the Secretary. The change would take effect upon enactment.
