Prohibits House members and staff from participating in certain prediction markets. It would bar any Member, Delegate, the Resident Commissioner, officer, or employee of the House from entering into or offering agreements, swaps, or transactions that pay out based on the occurrence, nonoccurrence, or extent of an event tied to an "excluded commodity" under the Commodity Exchange Act, while excepting insurance where the insured holds a lawful insurable interest and lawful sports wagers and expressing the sense that the executive and judicial branches should adopt similar restrictions.

Limits on prediction markets for House officials
If adopted, this resolution would prohibit any Member, Delegate, the Resident Commissioner, House officer, or House employee from entering into or offering contracts, swaps, or transactions that pay off based on the occurrence, nonoccurrence, or extent of a specific event when the contract involves an "excluded commodity" under the Commodity Exchange Act. The ban would not apply to insurance where the insured holds a lawful insurable interest. The ban also would not apply to making a lawful sports wager. The rule would take effect if the House adopts this resolution.
