Would designate May 10, 2026 as National Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Mental Health Day to spotlight mental health needs and promote culturally and linguistically appropriate care. It would note that AANHPIs are a fast-growing, diverse population, that 56 percent say healthcare costs are their biggest affordability problem, that about 2.6 million meet criteria for a mental health problem with 65.3 percent untreated, that suicide was the leading cause of death for AANHPI youth ages 15 to 24 from 2018 to 2024, and it would urge data disaggregation, more trained providers, and health agency policies to boost help-seeking.
