Summary
Honoring the 50th anniversary of Black April and the Fall of Saigon — this resolution would recognize the events of April 30, 1975 and commemorate the Vietnamese American community's journey and contributions over the past 50 years. It would honor the service of members of the U.S. Armed Forces and the Army of the Republic of Vietnam who fought in the Vietnam War, remember Vietnamese who lost their lives seeking freedom, reaffirm U.S. support for democracy, human rights, and press freedom in Vietnam, and encourage all Americans to join in commemorations and honor the Vietnamese diaspora.
