JOINT RESOLUTION Granting the consent of Congress to a compact between the States of New York and New Jersey providing for the creation of the Palisades Interstate Park Commission as a joint corporate municipal instrumentality of said States with appropriate rights, powers, duties, and immunities, for the transfer to said commission of certain functions, jurisdiction, rights, powers, and duties together with the properties of the bodies politic now existing in each State known as "Commissioners of the Palisades Interstate Park", and for the continuance of the Palisades Interstate Park.
