Summary
Leave parity for Public Health Service Commissioned Officers: this law adds Chapter 40, "Leave" from Title 10 (the Army leave rules) to the list of rights and privileges in Section 221(a) of the Public Health Service Act. It extends those leave provisions to commissioned officers of the Public Health Service and their beneficiaries.

If enacted, Public Health Service commissioned officers would get the leave rules in Chapter 40 of Title 10. Their beneficiaries would also be covered. The bill would also repeal Section 219 of the Public Health Service Act as a conforming change. These changes would take effect upon enactment.
