AVERT Future Violence Act of 2026

Making appropriations for the Legislative Branch for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2027, and for other purposes.

To establish a W nonimmigrant visa program for careworkers.

Providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 5408) to accelerate workplace time-to-contract under the National Labor Relations Act.

Electing Members to certain standing committees of the House of Representatives.

Electing a Member to a certain standing committee of the House of Representatives.

Supporting the goals and ideals of "National Charter Schools Week", to be observed from May 10 through May 16, 2026.

Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that the United States Senate's current cloture and filibuster rules are contrary to the constitutional design of two co-equal majoritarian legislative bodies, are non-deliberative in practice, disenfranchise Members of the House of Representatives and their constituents, and disrupt the proper balance of powers between the two chambers of Congress, and for other purposes.

Returning Senate Joint Resolution 3 to the Senate.

Supporting the designation of the week of May 5 through May 9, 2025, as "Teacher Appreciation Week".

Electing Members to certain standing committees of the House of Representatives.

Providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 2913) to authorize support for Ukraine, and for other purposes.
