Gulf Gag Recreational Season Closed

You cannot recreationally fish for Gulf gag in the Gulf exclusive economic zone (EEZ) from September 15, 2025 through December 31, 2025. The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) closed the recreational sector because the 2025 recreational annual catch target (ACT) for gag is projected to be reached by September 15, 2025.
