Bank-share acquisitions must be filed with Fed

If you plan to acquire shares of a bank or a bank holding company, the purchasers file applications under the Change in Bank Control Act (12 U.S.C. 1817(j)) and Sec. 225.41 of Regulation Y (12 CFR 225.41). The notice in this publication lists parties that have applied under those authorities.

Public can inspect application materials

The public portions of these bank-control applications are available for immediate inspection at the Federal Reserve Bank(s) listed and at the Board of Governors' offices.
