Starting January 1, 2026, international Registered Mail will only be available for letters with documents, not packages. No Registered Mail for First-Class Packages
Beginning January 1, 2026, Registered Mail will not be offered as an extra service for First-Class Package International Service items. If you send items using First-Class Package International Service, you cannot add Registered Mail to those packages after that date.
Free Matter for the Blind Packages Excluded
Effective January 1, 2026, Registered Mail will no longer be available as an extra service for Free Matter for the Blind items sent as First-Class Package International Service. Free Matter for the Blind letter items that contain documents may still use Registered Mail.
