Local facility keeps same VOC limit

EPA is proposing to approve New Hampshire's revised RACT Order ARD-11-001 for Hutchinson Sealing Systems (issued January 24, 2025 and submitted April 17, 2025). The approved order keeps the same emission limit of 6.3 lb. VOC per gallon for motor vehicle weatherstrip coatings and aims to limit VOC emissions from the facility in Newfields, New Hampshire to reduce smelly and harmful chemicals.

EPA finds little small-business cost

EPA states this proposed SIP approval is certified as not having a significant economic impact on a substantial number of small entities under the Regulatory Flexibility Act. That means EPA does not expect this approval to impose significant new costs on small businesses related to the action.
